How Set MOQs Work

Bali is flexible for small and mid-sized brands — but clarify both minimums upfront.

  • Benchmark: 100–200 pieces per style per colour
  • Some agile workshops go to 50 pieces for simpler designs or stock fabric
  • A two-piece set counts as two pieces: 100 sets = 200 pieces
  • Total order minimum is typically $2,000–5,000
  • Sample costs are often credited on bulk of 300–500 pieces per style

Watch out for

  • Rayon shrinkage of up to 5%, mostly on first wash
  • Dye bleeding on darker and vivid rayon
  • Up to 2 cm sizing variance between workshops
  • The MOQ trap: one style at 100 pcs may miss the value minimum
  • Design copying — register your designs in target markets
